Program Description
This noncredit Water Use Specialist Certificate is designed to prepare students with the necessary knowledge and skills to obtain entry-level employment as a water use efficiency practitioner. [Note: The Water Use Specialist Certificate is not equivalent to the certification issued by the American Water Work Association (AWWA) in water use efficiency].

Program Learning Outcomes
Have knowledge of fundamental aspects of water resource management, conservation, distribution, treatment, collection, recycle, and disposal operations.
Perform tasks in connection with the operation, control, and maintenance of water and sanitation systems.
Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills and apply these tools in a regulatory context (i.e. the public health protection).
