To graduate with a specialization in Music, students must complete the following required courses plus the general breadth requirements for the Associate Degree (total = 60 units).

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Compare musical styles by identifying musical differences of various forms and genres.

  2. Interpret and formulate fundamentals of music theory.

  3. Distinguish the social and cultural relevance of music by examining historical and cultural contributions.

  4. Demonstrate basic technical proficiency through performance of playing a musical instrument or lyrical singing.
